Cricut Snowman Boxes

This is my take on a very cute snowman box I saw on Pinterest using the Cricut. It is the same design as the pumpkin boxes I did earlier. I used the Sweet Tooth Cartridge to create the boxes.

Pumpkin Boxes

This cute pumpkin was made with Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge. I used Ice Cream Sundae cut at 11 1/2 inches. The stem and leaves were cut from Stretch your Imagination cut at 5" wide and 7.94" high. I will fill them with candy!!

Halloween Take Out

This is a large plastic Take-Out box that I picked up at the dollar store. The faces and Boo are cut from Cricut Pumpkin Faces cartridge. Will fill it with goodies for the Grandson and tie some raffia to the top.

Halloween Cards 2012

Halloween card using Cricut Happy Hauntings for Frank and grass. Hills are cut freehand and sentiment is made with a very old Dymo label maker. My grands were created in Storybook Creator 4.0 from Creative Memories. I love doing holiday cards. Thanksgiving cards are ready to go and will be posted soon. I've started Christmas cards but they have a ways to go!!  :)

Dylan's Banner

Dylan's name banner over his crib!

Mad Hatter, White Rabbit & Cheshire Cat

SVG files of Alice's Friends cut on the Cricut!

Creating Absolon

Lauren came up with an idea for making Absolon the "all wise" caterpillar in the Johnny Depp version of Alice in Wonderland. She started with celery bags and packing peanuts. She is BRILLIANT!

BUNCO

Of course my camera decided to corrupt the memory card so I lost all of my pictures. These are from phones and such so they aren't that great. It was a lot of fun!!

Cricut Glass Etching

We used our Cricut's tonight for my glass etching class. It is very easy to do! Instead of using expensive vinyl we used dollar store sticky shelf paper to cut out our stencil and Glad Press 'N Seal for transfer paper. It worked great!!!

Digital Overlays

In a recent DIGI class I taught the girls how to create overlays from paper. Here is an example I made for the class. Below is the paper we used to make the first overlay.
To create overlays in Storybook 4.0
1. Add patterned paper to project. With paper selected, go to "Color" tab & click on "Brightness & Light." Drag the contrast slider all the way to the right to 100.
2. With paper still selected, go to "Format = Filters = Stylize." Select "Threshold" filter & adjust slider to liking.
3. With paper selected, go to "Insert" & choose "Rubber Stamp." Adjust threshold & coverage sliders to liking & choose a pattern (standard).
4. Once rubber stamp is created, delete original image. Now you can recolor the overlay to suit your project. Adjusting the opacity will help blend your overlay into your background.

Shaun's Turn

This is the banner I made for Shaun's room. He picked Robots so I used the Robots Cricut Cartridge for his end pieces. See Dylan's banner for material and sizes used.

Playing with my Cricut

I saw something similar to this on Pinterest so decided to give it a try. Dylan's nursery theme is tropical-surf so I wanted to do his name, add surfboards and use the colors in his nursery bedding. The letters were cut using Creative Memories 'Tis the Season cartridge set to 3 3/4" then embossed using the Cuttlebug dotted swiss folder. The backgrounds were cut using the solid scallop circle at 4". The surfboards were cut from Creative Memories Traveler cartridge at 3". I used Stampin' Ups Lucky Limeade Baker's twine to connect everything. I can't wait to see what it looks like in his nursery. More pictures to come :)

Diaper Tricycle

My Son's wonderful girlfriend Lauren threw a shower for our Shannon and made her this darling diaper "tricycle". It is a new twist on the old "diaper cake". Of course she saw it on Pinterest and had to make one. She did a great job on it and a terrific job on the shower. Much fun was had by all.
