Another day in the life!
How can it be the end of January already? My goodness..... time to get serious and work on Valentines Cards. We have a cabin crop weekend planned in March so I will be able then to catch up on ALL my Holiday and vacation pictures. We had a great time visiting Elvis' birthplace and Graceland. We spent a couple days visiting with Steve's nephew and niece, Mitch & Laura. They showed us around Charleston, SC then we toured the USS Yorktown. Then off to Tupelo to see where Elvis was born. Next we headed to Memphis. Now that is a scary place!! If you want to visit Graceland, I would suggest flying in, stay at the hotel across from Graceland, do the tour then head back to the airport..... We did drive down to Beale Street but it was a weeknight and not very busy which was a plus. Steve really wanted to see the Mighty Mississippi River so we snaked around until we finally found it. My sister was pretty sure we would all end up dead (she isn't used to Steve and his love of "back roads"). She is strictly a GPS girl :) It was a looooong drive home, a little over 1,000 miles but Steve hung in there and drove it straight through (maybe he was just a little tired of the sisters :) We made it home by 3:30 a.m. Whew.... but it was a really fun time. Now back to reality!!
The first picture is standing on the front porch of the little house where Elvis was born. The second is my sister Charlotte, Laura and I at the Moon Pie Store in Charleston, SC and the third is of course "Graceland". I have always been (and still am) a huge Elvis fan. Now I can check this trip off my Bucket List!!!!

Vacation
Hi, we are on vacation in search of Elvis! We spent the weekend with Steve's nephew Mitch and lovely wife Laura at their new home in Goose Creek, SC. My sister Charlotte is with us and us girls spent a day playing in Charleston (that's the Moon Pie Store) while the guys did whatever. Then we all toured the USS Yorktown. That was really awesome as well. Now we are in Tupelo, Mississippi where we will tour Elvis' birthplace tomorrow then head to Memphis tomorrow (Tuesday) night. We are having a blast (which we always do)! I will let you know when we find Elvis!!
