Top Note Cards

I saw this card recently so decided to figure it out. I have the Top Note Die from Stampin Up that was used to make the card. All you do is fold your card then put the fold just below the the dots on the top of the die. Once you punch it out, the two sides stay connected. Next you punch out the black piece (or whatever color you choose) and cut just inside the dots. These are also embossed but that didn't show up in my picture. I then cut out my butterflies on the Cricut using the Indy Art cartridge. Such a cute idea and I always need birthday cards. These would make beautiful Sympathy cards as well.

Cabin Crop

We had a wonderful time at our cabin crop. We started out with 7 signed up but ended up with only 4 attending which means we each got our "own" bed :)  We don't mind sharing but sometimes it is nice to "stretch out". Between the 4 of us we completed 235 pages using traditional and digital. That is AWESOME! Takes a few days to recover from the sleep deprivation and they changed the time on us but we still had a great time! Thanks Gail for the awesome cupcakes!!! Looking forward to the fall retreat already!!!

Cabin Crop

Wow, I can't believe it is March already and time for our Spring Cabin Crop at Crooked River Park in Georgia. We go twice a year and I always get excited when it is time to go!! We have a great group of girls that spend the weekend cropping away! I will take some pictures to post when we get back because there is NO internet at the cabin, no phones and we almost never turn on the TV. The weekend is dedicated to catching up on our scrapbooking or stamping or whatever is needed!! If you don't do a "girlfriend" weekend then you should start the tradition!! We all need time away from everyday life (and the computer :) so let me know what you do with your girlfriends!! Below is a picture from our Fall 2011 cabin crop when we surprised my dear friend Evelyn with a "Granny" shower celebrating her first grandchild Sophia!!
